Day 1

Well the day finally arrived for us to go to Kurrawang.  After months of preperation and training we are ready to go, but we had to wait for Mr Prinsloo to bring us the bus through the busy Perth traffic.  We all packed the trailer ready for the bus and started our pre-trip journals excited even though a couple of group forgot a few of the essentials i.e. sleeping bags.  Around 9:15am Mr Prinsloo arrived and we had a last minute toilet break a quick talk from Mr Beacham and we were on the road.

Bus Ride
Although the ride was very long, we all made the most of it, and tried to make it fun. Most of us tried to sleep for much of it, but the road was very bumpy.

Accommodation
Where we are staying is different to what we are used to but its a quiet and old place, that is also cool. The rooms are nice, the year 12's and the girls have their own rooms, whilst the boys are camping out in the upper dinning hall. They are all on mattresses next to each other on the floor.

Food
Most of us had packed lunches and bought food, which wasn't as good as expected but did the job. Dinner was quite nice, made by Mrs Barham and 3 year 10's, we had salad, chicken and pasta. It was quite nice.

Youth Group
This evening we attended a youth event with over 100 other people at the Goldfields Baptist College. We all got  involved in the activities, like games such as poisen chair and monster paper scissors rock, after which prizes were given for the winners. Some of us got up for the alter call which took alot of courage, guts and strength.

For now we have established our groups for all activities in the week ahead, and are doing our first rotaion of jobs. We are all looking forward to a good nights sleep. We are also looking forward to go to the Super Pit and seeing some of the other sights of Kalgoorlie.

God Bless and Good night.
